Urban Decay Naked 2

Saturday, November 24, 2012

Holy moly, can I just tell you how absolutely IN LOVE I am with this palette?!?! Really I mean I don't think I have used any other eyeshadows since I bought it!!! Amazing, Impressive, Incredible, Marvelous, Wonderful, all words that I would use to describe this palette.

I really have an array of colors and I like to switch it up, but I just can't pull myself away from this palette. Who knew there was life outside of MAC, lol!!!!The colors glide on so silky smooth! Verve is my favorite!

Foxy- has a matte finish, it looks from this swatch like it has shimmer in it but it doesn't it's a very flat eggshell color. Great for your highlighter if you don't want the shimmer.

Half Baked- is a amberish color, a very light copper and has a shimmer finish. It reminds me alot of MAC's Amber Lights.

Bootycall- has a shimmer finish and it my very favorite for highlighting, as you can see it's close to Foxy but with a little more of a peach tone and it has the shine!

Chopper- is like Half Baked's big sis, it's a slightly darker with coppery flecks of shimmer.   Chopper has alot more Orangie - reddish tones to it then Half Baked.

Tease- is another matte color it's very pretty, but a little stiff when applying. It's a taupe which I always gravitate towards but this one does take a little more effort to blend.  I am glad that their are some matte's in this palette because it's always good to mix up your matte's with your shimmer/frosty colors.

Snakebite- is a very deep we will call it a chocolate bronze. This color is a joy to apply it goes on like butter, and the staying power is great.

Suspect- is AMAZ! I love champagne colors in general and this one is no exception, this would be a perfect one and done color for sure!

Pistol- is a grayish-brown almost taupe color it has a very frosty finish.  This is another very easy to apply color, I love it it reminds me alot of MAC's Satin Taupe.

Verve- O my where to start with Verve, it is my absolute favorite of the whole palette. I already bought a backup! It is very shimmery and it has a grayish - pink look to it, I'm in love!!! It goes on so smooth just like silk, and it stays forever!

YDK- is another great shade. It is a mix of a rose gold / copper color with a shimmer finish and it is also silky smooth!

Busted- is a very deep brown with goldie tones, this is a great crease color.

Blackout- is the last matte finish of the bunch. It's such a true black, if you love to wear eyeshadow as liner this would be a perfect color!

The brush that it comes with is pretty awesome. I really feel that this palette has it all!!! Put it on your wish lists lovies! I mean 12 full size Urban Decay eyeshadows, a double ended brush and a sample of the naked lipgloss for $50.00!!! Urban Decay Eyeshadows retail for $18 a piece...

Hope you love this as much as I do!!! What is your favorite of the bunch???

You can purchase this at Sephora, Ulta or wherever Urban Decay is sold. You can also purchase it at UrbanDecay.com they always have free shipping with a $50.00 purchase.

MAC of the week 187 brush!

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

Hey loves, today I want to go over the amazingness that is the 187 brush!!! If you don't have it yet you need it!!!

MAC 187 Duo Fibre Brush ($42.00) is a big, densely bristled brush. It has both goat and synthetic fibers. It also known as a stippling brush. I have tried so many stippling brushes, I love them and this is my very favorite for powder!

I love the 187 most for a applying my highlighters and/or MSF. If you have a problem with a heavy hand as I sometimes do when applying blush The 187 is perfect for you! It picks up just the right amount product, so no more here comes Amanda and her blush, lol!  When I use it with my Highlighters, I’ve found it gives me a soft glow that I love...

Do you own this brush? What is your favorite stippling brush? Don't forget to keep sharing my page on Facebook because this will be in the 500 fan giveaway :)

Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara

Saturday, November 17, 2012

So I bought this a few weeks ago, I told you that I was having a love affair with Urban Decay right?!?! So I got this in a kit with some primer potion and a 24/7 eyeliner in zero. I have been trying it out and I have to say that for a layering mascara it's ok but if you are looking for a primary it's not my cup of tea... It doesn't lengthen enough for me, and believe me I need the length... It also clumps way to much!

They changed the packaging on this it's much sleeker looking now, it used to have a loud retro feel.

Overall I am going to rate this a C-
It is good for layering but so are alot of much less pricey mascara's. I'm not sure if its so much the formula that I don't care for or the wand. For me I'm just not going to pay the $20.00    pricetag for a secondary mascara.

What are your thoughts? Have you tried this before? Do you love it or hate it?

Wedging Away!!!

Friday, November 16, 2012

Ok beauties, I have to share this fashion post with you... I just got these wedges from DSW. They are the Fergalicious Dreamer Wedge Pump and they retail for $46.95, holy comfort batman they are incredible! Now don't let the picture on the site fool you they are a lot cuter in real life.

I have been searching for a really cute nude wedge because last year I bought a pair of Naughty Monkey Vice wedges in nude (beautiful shoes) but sadly the heel came off! This was not the first offense for a Naughty Monkey shoe, I have had problems in the past with the heel staying put. It's really sad to because they make such cute shoes, but my bank account thanks me!
So in search of a similar nude wedge I came across the Fergies and they look just like the vices (from the front anyway) but holy moly do they feel a whole lot better!!!!
Now I have said this before but if you are not a DSW rewards member and a fan on Facebook, you are really missing out! I win gift cards all they time. They always run different contests as well, you can really win alot of stuff on Facebook!

So what shoes are you in search of?! Have you signed up for DSW?

"How To" Tuesday, colorful eye look!

Tuesday, November 6, 2012

Hey everyone happy election day, I hope everyone voted!!! Today I wanted to do something fun, so I picked how to do a multi color eye look!!! Here it is finished...

You can use any colors you want, but I used MAC's Amber Lights, Lucky Green & Freshwater.

Like always primer first, and you will need a pencil brush for this look.

Your pencil brush is the only way you will be able to get the precision right... I started with Amber Lights on the inner lid and lower lash line followed by lucky green in the middle of the lid and lower lash line followed by freshwater...

Next I used my 217 brush to blend it out and add my highlighter. I used MAC's Phloof as my highlight color. I then added my NYC liquid liner followed by the falsies mascara and then I used my  salon perfect #102 lashes to finish her off... There we go all done! It's very easy and you can use any colors, I was just in a bold mood while doing this...

How do you like this look? It's easy enough right? What colors would you have used?

Somewhere Under The Rainbow!

Monday, November 5, 2012

Hi lovies this is my first ever nail polish post, but I felt like not writing about this was very unjust ;) If you are anything like me you LOVE holographic nail polish. I mean I could wear it everyday! Every color looks better to me with some holo it in.... Good news, I have just the little secret weapon to achieve your every holographic wish. It's called Hits Hefesto from their No Olimpo collection. Holo's to me are like a rainbow in a bottle, like someone was standing under it collecting all of the rainbow dust ;)

It is kind of pricey at $8.00 for 6ml, but for me it is well worth it to make any color an instant holo. I bought mine from http://shop.llarowe.com/
and as I am writing this it's on sale for $7.00.

Here are a few looks I have done with it.
Here it is over OPI's My Private Jet

Here it is over OPI's Vodka & Caviar

As you can see you can use it over any color you want, so when
you look at it that way you are getting a great value!

What is your favorite nail polish?

Here is one look that I did with it.

True beauties right?!?! The great thing about these is that they can not only be used as highlighters, but they would also be really amazing eyeshadows.

Next up are some eyeliners I only grabbed two I wasn't supposed to get any of these but I fell in love with Mystery and Orpheous... They are $16.50 and can be purchased at http://www.maccosmetics.com
Here is Mystery

I am a real sucker for colors like this, you can see both the blue and brown. It's incredible, have you ever seen an eyeliner like this?
Here is Orpheous...
It's a brownish color with flecks  of glitter I think it's perfect for the holidays or for those of us who like to be sparkly all year round ;)

Now for the eyeshadow's, I told myself I was only allowed to get two and I ended up getting four!!! All of the eyeshadows cost $19.50 and can be purchased at http://www.maccosmetics.com

First is Ready to Party, it's a very frosty Lilac and has a very bright metallic finish.

Next is Stylishly Merry, this one was sold out in store's before it launched from all the preorders. It is fuchsia with a frosty finish. Think frosted cranberries, perfect for the holiday's right?!?!?

Next up is A Natural Flirt it's a sweet, light peach with a golden shimmer-sheen.

Lastly I have Stolen Moment.
Surprise surprise, it also has a frosted finish. It's a very plumish taupe, with a little bit of grey (if that even makes sense). This color is right up my lane and could become a fast fav!

I hope you all enjoyed this post I will have one more to show you the lippies I got with this collection. What was your favorite? Have you or will you be purchasing anything from MAC's holiday collection?
