Smashbox on the rocks brush set

I wanted to get this out before Christmas. While I was doing some last minute shopping last weekend I came across these babies in all there sparkly goodness! Seriously, they stopped me in my tracks.

Here they are w/o flash
I should just preface this by saying that I need all the brushes do not really need any more makeup brushes.
I told you I am really loving my new MUFE set but...... O Smashbox! You really had my number bringing out these blingtastic beauties!

So there they were sitting on the top shelf and I'm not really a smashbox person I haven't really given smashbox a chance. This year I actually made my first smashbox purchase. I bought the contour kit, I really expected to just disregard the brush that came with it but I really liked it, so I thought this is great. I know their brushes are quality and they sparkle.
I purchased these beauts at Nordstrom but they have them on Amazon right here .

You get a blush brush,
an eyeliner brush,
a lip brush,
a double ended eyeshadow brush
and an angled shadow brush.

3 more days loves!

LUSH Grease Lightning

I was going to wait until tomorrow to post this, but I figured with it being the weekend before Christmas you might be out shopping and be near a LUSH store...

Seriously loves, this is a MUST HAVE! Really RUN to your nearest LUSH, I mean or you could order it online.... That's cool too!

I can not stress to you enough how AMAZING this has worked for me. When I purchased this (with ultrabland & mint julips) It was the first thing I tried... Why you ask? It's simple I had a blemish on my forehead the size of a little baby unicorn! You know the kind that hurts for you to even look at, let alone touch. Anyway I slapped a little squirt of this on it before I went to bed and BAMMM...... When I woke up it wasn't completely gone but it was 1/4 of the size and pain free!
I will ALWAYS rebuy this stuff! I have been using the clinque spot treatment for the past 9 years and I will tell you without a doubt, it doesn't hold a candle to this stuff...... It will be me new go to gift for people!
I am so glad that the lady a LUSH talked me into it... The price of this stuff can not be beat either.
1.5 oz for $13.95

They also sell it here on Amazon if your an Amazon shopper.
It costs a little more through Amazon, but if you aren't near a lush store that might be your best bet...
It's like magic in a bottle, you can't put a price on magic!
Is this something that you would like to try?
Have you ever tried this before?
What are your favorite LUSH products?
Sound off below.
Now excuse me while I go order another bottle for my purse...

 6 more days!

DIORIFIC SHOCK Color Lip Duo Mysterious Shock

Hi loves, how is your week going??
I could wait no longer I had to tell you about my most recent purchase...
It's the DIORIFIC SHOCK Color Lip Duo. I picked the color Mysterious Shock it's a beautiful plum color. They have amazing gold packaging for the holiday.... I tell you I am a sucker for packaging!
I purchased this at Sephora for $38.00
Here it is...

Yep it's a double sided lipstick, that's right double sided! How cool is that! I'm sorry my pictures aren't the best I just ordered a light box and they will be getting significantly better.
The first color is the darker plum side, the second is a much lighter almost rosie color and the third is the two mixed together, which is my favorite.
Here's what dior has to say about it.
The Diorific lipstick is renewed in a two-tone version. Two sides for two effects: one side boasts pure colour with a velvet matte finish, the other the same shade with a pearly gold shimmer
I love this lipstick, it was very long wearing. I wouldn't mind picking up another color and there is also a holiday polish that I would love to get my hands on...
Do you have any of the Dior Holiday collection?
Does this look like a color you would wear?
Sound off in the comments!
P.S. 7 days until Christmas!!!

LUSH Ultrabland

Hello everyone! How's the Christmas shopping, baking, wrapping coming along?
I already told about my trip to LUSH a few weeks ago on my review about the mint julips lip scrub. Now I want to give you my review on one of the other products I purchased, Ultrabland! I was very skeptical at first when trying this, but I trust the girl that helped me. Her skin is beautiful and I always see her in there.
I have had some irritation lately around my nose and just this past week under my left eye. I'm not really sure what's causing it. It almost looks like it's small eczema patches, strange right?!?! I mean considering nothing like this has ever been a problem for me. Lets just hope it's dry winter skin... When I went into LUSH I told Laura about the problems I had been having and she suggested the ultrabland.

If you have never been to a LUSH store it's a really neat experience. They try every thing on your hand so you can feel it first. So she sampled ultrabland for me, and explained how important it is to have a makeup remover and not just a cleanser. Ultrabland is a two in one. I'm not going to lie though it felt a little thick on my face and I was sure it was going to break me out.... Nope!

It is very moisturizing and since I have been using it the right way I see a huge improvement.
The bottle says to use only this for a solid month. Though I'm not there yet I can 100% say this will be a repurchase for me.
This comes in two sizes the 1.5 oz for $16.95
and a 3.5 oz for 29.95
Here's what LUSH has to say about it.

                                 Non-irritating beeswax cleanser

A hugely popular cult product, Ultrabland is a thick, rich emulsion of essential oils, honey and beeswax to take off any make up or residue that has built up on your face throughout the day. Unlike most make up removers, Ultrabland leaves your skin feeling soft and nourished, thanks to soothing rosewater and iris flower extract. Suitable for all skin types, Ultrabland is a classic LUSH cleanser coveted by staff and customers alike for it’s effectiveness.
Have you ever tried anything from LUSH?
What's your favorite product from them?
Let me know what you think, I can't wait to try more!!!

Healthy Lifestyle check in....

 Hey Lovies!!! Happy Friday!
I just wanted to check in with you about my getting fit / love yourself lifestyle...
I'm ashamed to say I have been backsliding!
It's so hard around the holidays but that's no excuse. If it were easy everyone would do it. I have been doing good at maintaining, but I don't want to just maintain. I can tell a difference in my energy level and at this time of year we need all the energy we can get.
So here is my check in with you before a weekend filled with baking Christmas cookies with the kids!!! Now you might think, why even bake the cookies?!?! That's simple, the kids have been looking forward to this all week! I'm not even going to tell you that I wont have a few cookies, because that would be a lie. What I am going to tell you is that the cookies I do eat I will make up for while working out.
I really love how weight watchers looks at things, everything in moderation! While for me 100% clean eating makes me feel 100% better. (I mean, I think everyone does) I am committing for this month to 80% clean but giving 100% in my workouts to make up for it!
I want to stay accountable, on the chance that anyone is reading this! Maybe this journey of mine will help someone else.
Hope you have a great weekend! What are your tips to stay on track at this time of year? Are you following me on Instagram?
If not I post much more about this journey on there!
Until next time,

This is the second year in a row that I have purchased the
Superstars set from Sephora. This value set is put together with a mixture of full size and trial size of their best selling products. This is a great gift for anyone who wants to step out of their comfort zone & try some new product lines. That is exactly the reason that I bought it last year. You all know by now I'm pretty faithful to the companies that I'm used to. This really opened up my eyes to a few new products and how the mix with my skin.
Next up is the GLAM GLOW gift sexy
you can purchase this at Sephora for $69.00 $118.00 value
I am seriously in LOVE with the GLAM GLOW line. The blue one is the only one that I have never tried so I was really excited fir this set.
It comes with the full size blue one which is their moisturizing mask and a travel size of both the black and white masks. I love, love, love the white one. It defiantly clears out my face so be ready to have a few new breakouts after your first use. I also use it as a spot treatment, it's like a mini facial and its smells like black liquorish. The black one is youth mud and it is supposed to give a glow to your skin and it smells AMAZING! You wont want to miss an opportunity to try all three!
$65.00 at Sephora
Now I don't have this set, but if you read my review yesterday you know how I feel about the MUFE brushes. This would be a great set to get to give them a try.
$52.00 available at Sephora or
I don't have this set either but I would love it. Their eyeliners are so smooth, and honestly who doesn't want colorful eyeliners?!?!
Tweezerman Zebra petite tweeze set
$30.00 at Sephora

Honestly loves I DO NOT leave the house without a good pair of tweezers. This set is perfect for on the go. I honestly believe once you use tweezerman no other tweezers are good enough. This would be the perfect stocking stuffer.

I CAN NOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS LIP PENCIL! I carry it with me almost always. I use it for all over my lip as shown above. When I put it on I instantly feel pretty, who doesn't want that?!?! Who wants to have to worry about their lipstick after that unexpected kiss under the mistletoe? Not me! The staying power is great.
What am I missing? What is on your Christmas list?

Make Up For Ever Artisan Brush Kit

I have been saving up my gift cards to Sephora for a while now to purchase the
MUFE Artisan Brush Kit...
I don't know if I have mentioned it yet but I have been using their #270 brush for some time now. The #270 is an eyebrow brush unlike ANY other that I have ever tried. The tip is so small and precise that it's hard not to get the perfect brow every time....
This intrigued me, so of course I wanted to try more of their brushes. They are very pricey though. What's a brush whore like me to do in a situation like that?!?! That's when I saw it, right on Sephora's website the Artisan Brush kit.

It comes with 8 of their mush have brushes for $210 a $286 dollar value. I know still pricey, however I did pair this with the vib deal so I scored 20% off. That makes it a little more reasonable...
Also this pushed me dangerously close to the vib ROUGE level!
This kit is a Sephora exclusive.
It comes with the 108 foundation brush.
$36.00 on it's own
Which is quickly becoming my new favorite foundation brush.
It feels so high end! The bristles are so smooth and it is very dense, but it doesn't seem to waste product.
Next up is the 128 powder brush.
$52.00 on it's own
This brush is very luxurious too. It's good for an all over powder and some blending especially on the neck area. They call it a precision powder brush and they say it is great for blush as well. I haven't used it for that purpose though it feels to big for me to use it as a blush brush. This brush is also very dense.

Then there is the 158 blush / sculpting brush.
$53.00 on it's own.
Now this one I love! Really love!!! It's a double ended brush, who doesn't want a double ended brush?!?! It's like an all in one. You can blend, contour and blush to your hearts content. I should mention all of these brushes are so incredibly sturdy. Did I mention yet how soft they are?!?!
Next up the 226 eye shadow shading brush
$25.00 on it's own
This brush will deposit your eyeshadow very nice and evenly. I am telling you, you'll be very surprised how they feel on your skin. You can easily pack product on the lid with this brush. You can use him not only to apply powders, but creams as well.
 216 eye shadow smudging brush
$25.00 on it's own
I know this is an eye shadow smudging brush but I love this shape for contouring the nose. Don't get me wrong he's great for detailed eye work. He will put the product right where you tell him to. He will give you the perfect smudged liner look, but he does so much more then that too. He is shaped SO PERFECT to contour your nose.

242 large eye shadow blending brush
$30.00 on it's own
This really is a great blending brush. It's kind of big for my eyes. I can't use it for everything like my MAC #217, but he is good in his own way. I like to use him to soften my look.

250 extra fine eye liner brush
$18.00 on it's own
This brush is just the right amount of stiff. It doesn't tug on your eyelids. If you have shaky hands you will love this brush.
Lastly but most certainly not least the 274 double ended eyebrow brush
$28.00 on it's own
I love this! It is very similar to my love the 270 although it might not be quite as stiff. It makes up for it though by having the spiral end. This along with the 270 brush are especially nice if you have sparse brows. I use it with my ABH dipbrow and my brows are on point every time!
So ladies and gents get out your Christmas wish list and write down this one last thing. You deserve some good brushes that will last you for years to come.
This set just has me wanting to try more of the new collection! I hope they make more of these types of sets in the future. Maybe a must have eyes and a must have face???
Send me some feed back, what are your favorite brushes?

LUSH Mint Julips Lip Scrub

Seriously! How have I never tried a lip scrub before?!?!? I mean really how did I go 28 years without trying one???
With the holidays upon us and all the fancy festive red lips I thought I would give one a try... O happy day this stuff is incredible!
It has seriously become one of my favorite parts of the day (on the days I use it)
I was walking through International Mall in Tampa a few weeks ago and I picked up a few goodies from LUSH. A lip scrub was at the top of my list and even though there were a few to choose from, my heart belongs to mint! So I went with Mint Julips...
So to apply you rub it / buff it onto your lips for the desired time / smoothness and then you eat it lick it off... YEP, and it's delicious... You can get your daily sugar fix from a lip scrub!
The price for this is $9.95 for .9 oz
I really love this stuff! After you use the scrub you use a lip gloss to add some moisture to your lips.

Shadow Shields

Hey everyone!!! Hope you are having a fantastic Monday! Who had a good Thanksgiving?..... Did you get any black Friday deals?
Anywho, the second makeup show Orlando purchase I want to tell you about is.... Shadow shields!!!
I have seriously been eyeing these since I found them on instagram a few months back. Speaking of IG are you following me yet? You totally should be, I'm under onceuponamanda
So I have been eyeing these shadow shields but I just haven't pulled the trigger and ordered... I was so excited when I found them at the makeup show. Nigel's was selling them at their table.
This is what they look like

And on...

I already posted a picture of this look on my make up for ever liner post, but the shadow shields really helped me achieve the winged liner look.

Overall I really liked these and I think they will save me alot of time using them on a wedding party or something of that nature. They were defiantly worth the wait.
You can get these here on Amazon .

You will not be disappointed!
What are your thoughts? Have you ever tried anything like this before? Can't wait to hear some feedback!
